TO: SECONDARY LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHERS IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA

TI:ME (the Technology Institute for Music Educators) has received a grant from NAMM, the International Music Products Association, to train 10 secondary Language Arts teachers in the lesson plans created last year and posted at www.connectwithmusic.org in the Language Arts section. The lessons have been piloted by Seventh Grade LA Teacher Jason Finn at Haveford Middle School. The training will be led by Jason Finn and Tom Rudolph.
There will be four Saturday training sessions. Attendance at all four sessions is required: October 27, November 3, 10, and December 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. See the attached brochure for more information. The training sessions will be based on the lesson plans posted in the LA section of the website www.connectwithmusic.org. The training sessions are free and there is a $250 honorarium offered for participating teachers. Act 48 credit is offered for PA teachers.
