Midi keyboard integrated with a computer

Objectives:
Students will create a melody from notes C,D,E,F,G.
Students will choose ether quater notes (number 5 ) or half notes (number 6) and then play the pitch on the keyboard
Procedures:
Students open up Finale “Creating a melody”.mus file.
Students drag a note to fill up each measure matching the given rhythm. Have the students play it back and make corrections.
Evaluation:
Students then will play their melody for the class. They can do this at their computer. (I would have them send it to my computer and I would show the class their melody on the smart board.) Students would then talk about their feeling about the melody.
