Objectives:
1. Students will identify the staff, lines and spaces of the clef their instrument plays in by using music ace.
2. Students will play games in unit one and the teacher will use the program to assess student progress.
Procedures:
1. Review Rote learned songs
2. What is missing from our music playing? (Students should eventually say written music)
3. Open Music Ace and show students lesson one.
4. Let students play games in lesson one for ten minutes.
5. Close program give review
6. Apply reading notation to their instruments.
7. Being reading notation with one of the Rote learned songs
Evaluation:
Using software progress meter was each student able to identify the note correctly?
Were the students able to transfer the new knowledge to their instrument?
Follow Up:
The next lesson use program to review for five minutes and then play notation form lesson book.
