Computer, Projector & Screen, Smart Music, Printed copies of music or play from the screen. Microphone, Music Stand


Students will listen to performance as a solo & with accompainment. Students will have an opportunity to practice an exercise with an accompainment or as a solo line. Students will then perform the solo with accompainment and the solo line turned off. Upon completion Smart music will score note accuarcy and pitch for students to evaluate their performance. Students will listen to their performance and evaluate. Listening may also be done with solo line turned on to hear the differences between their performance & actual solo. Students may nthen re-record.


Select a song or excerpt to be assessed. Print a copy &/or display on screen. Have the students of that instrument if playing from screen or all students if using printed material practice the song. Students should use the accompainment to help keep the tempo, Tempo can be adjusted to increase difficulty. Once students are comfortable with performing the piece, set the tempo select one student at a time to record. Turn the click on or use the accompainment to keep the beat. Record the performance, when finished select the assessment & grade button. E-mail results to teacher if desired.


Smart music will provide an on-screen view of right and wrong notes that were performed. A score of accuaracy will be available. From the on screen views students can determine note pitch, duration, rhythm accuracy of their performance compared to the original. Results can be e-mailed or printed and given to the teacher.
