Importing CD audio into a digital Two track editing program
Knowing how to edit audio in a two track editor ,Understanding ABA form

NAfME Standards of 1994: Listening to, analyzing and describing music.
NAfME Standards of 1994: Evaluating music and music performances.

Materials:

Mac computer running Peak,headphones ,soundcard

Objectives:

Students will be able to identify ABA form on a music CD.
Students will import a CD containing a song that has a ABA form.
Students will be able to manipulate the form to create a new form

Procedures:

-Students will bring in their own CD that has an ABA song on it.
-Students will open up Peak audio program.
_Students will import their CD audio into the program
_Students will identify the ABA form in their piece
_Students will seperate the various sections of the ABA form.
_students will manipulate the form to creat a new form ABA to AABBA etc.

Evaluation:

Students will have a better understanding of form using their own music.
Students will be able to identify form and change it with ease.
