Materials:
Computer generated sound and visual,headphones
Objectives:
Given to the students the Spanish Caribbean “Ambos a Dos”,a 2/4, 8 measure
five pitches(C-D-E-F-G) short song:
Students will:
1-Entry notes one by one on the blank staff generated by the program
2-Save entered notes
3-Playback for corrections
Procedures:
Provide the students with a teacher generated handout that will include the song with the rhythmic patterns of pitches:
2/4 _E-C-E-G-FEDDDDEC,_E-C-E-G-FEDDGG-C.
Students will open the program Sibelius and follow teacher’s generated instructions to enter and save work.
Class discussion of the song “Ambos a Dos”,connected to the Spanish Caribbean culture.Singing of the song
Listen to the song from the entered notes in the computer.
Evaluation:
Completed the entered song the students will playback ,listen and evaluate their entry for possible mistakes and correct them.
