Materials:
Computer or Computer Lab
Alfred’s Essentials of Music Theory 2.0c
Objectives:
The purpose of this lessons is to reinforce and review note value skills.
SWBAT name the values of quarter, half, and whole notes.
SWBAT determine stem direction for notes in the bass and treble staffs.
Procedures:
1. T instructs ss to open the music software program “Alfred’s Essentials of Music Theory 2.0c”
2. T directs ss to login, click on menu, and select Unit 2 – Lesson 6.
3. T instructs students to go through the exercises in the lesson, reading and responding to each window and completing each game with a goal of 10 correct answers.
4. When ss have completed the lesson, ss send completed lesson to the T. T can then confirm that ss have completed lesson and view their scores.
Evaluation:
Did the students send completed lesson to teacher?
Did the students on average get most of all answers correct?
